Hello friends, welcome to The Deranged World. This domain is primarily a personal introspection of thoughts, feelings and activities. Some of them are funny, some slightly emotional, some exceedingly intellectual, and others completely nonsensical in nature. But nevertheless, they all reflect a truthful element of myself then. In addition, you may check out the Project RN series located at 'Interchange'. Do leave a comment as an when you wish, I'll be more than glad to reply them.

This is not mid life crisis, this is quarter life crisis......

Answers in red

Characteristics of quarter-life crisis may include:[citation needed]
  • realizing that the pursuits of one's peers are useless "Vanity!" Indeed- for most, most of the time... but I try not to harp on it- people also have their reasons, and I respect humans.
  • confronting their own mortality   Yes- its not about dying.... but more like ceasing to exist, and truthfully that notion is very freaky.
  • watching time slowly take its toll on their parents, only to realize they are next The inevitability of the day after tomorrow...
  • insecurity regarding the fact that their actions are meaningless Used to- no longer after campaign RN
  • insecurity concerning ability to love themselves, let alone another person Please don't get me started on loving myself...... this part should be okay for me.
  • insecurity regarding present accomplishments  Used to, but I know my potential now, and I guess I can say I am at ease with myself.
  • re-evaluation of close interpersonal relationships  Indeed- precisely the point I am trying to level-up all existing relationships to go beyond hi-bye superficiality, but the power to change does not lie solely on me.
  • lack of friendships or romantic relationships, sexual frustration, and involuntary celibacy No love...... but that is only applied to the One...
  • disappointment with one's job Well, now I know what is meaningful before finding a job, I guess I won't end up being dissapointed with my job.
  • nostalgia for university, college, high school or elementary school life  At times.... halcyon still prevails, but I am equally optimistic about the future okay?
  • tendency to hold stronger opinions HOHOHO..... don't ever ask me about my ideology.
  • boredom with social interactions I am sick of mere politics and ethics...... and it seems the world is firmly grounded on them.
  • loss of closeness to high school and college friends Yes, I have lost people, but it doesnt affect me- as long as I am true to still-surviving relationships, I won't worry about losing people anymore.
  • financially-rooted stress (overwhelming college loans, unanticipatedly high cost of living, etc.) Precisely why my ideal job of doing socially productive stuff comes with an IRON RICE BOWL.
  • loneliness, depression and suicide Being alone is a virtue too okay? There is no need to be depressed over it.....
  • desire to have children  =D      teacher says it all
  • a sense that everyone is, somehow, doing better than you  academically, but the higher notion that we are all just talented in different ways really makes it up..... btw nobody writes 100000 words on life like I do anyway.... LOL
  • frustration with social skills  A bit.... still cannot moderate between personal ideals and people
These unsettling emotions and insecurities are not uncommon at this age, nor at any age in adult life. In the context of the quarter-life crisis, however, they occur shortly after a young person – usually an educated professional, in this context – enters the "real world".[1] After entering adult life and coming to terms with its responsibilities, some individuals find themselves experiencing career stagnation or extreme insecurity. The individual often realizes the real world is tougher, more competitive and less forgiving than they imagined. Furthermore, the qualifications they have spent so much time and money earning are not likely to prepare them for this disillusionment.

Believe me, the real world that most of us think we are entering is actually no more than a facade. Its not exactly fake- but its more like the virtues and values that we will hear are mere conclusion declarations.... making life exactly like the final output of movies after ten times of rehersals. Of course it sounds complex and difficult and incomprehensible.... probably because all the reasoning in between are falsifiable, subjective or meaningless garbles. Go beyond these issues of money, status, and achievements- and see reality as it truly is. Be prepared to get freaked out even more, but don't delay- it'll eventually come in mid-life crisis anyway

I would like to address this post tho those who were involved with the formation of the living best postulate.

If any of us could still remember, on the 4th January 2009, the first official post dedicated to project RN was written. On it was an introduction on the living best postulate (I do not want to go into details pertaining to what it is exactly), as well as an induction to the project proper.

The opening statement of this induction was written as follows:

Will God give you what you want?

I don’t know the true answer; today, my best bet’s both yes and no.  Yes- he would give you enough to make you truly happy. No- he’ll not agree to things that would harm you in the long run.

But then and again, how do we know that there is a God up there to say yes or no to you in the first place?

To that I do not have the true answer to it too…

But there is one thing I had repeated over the past two lines, I had repeated that I do not know the true answer. But I know that there is a certain truth out there to the answers of these questions…, somewhere within the spectrum from Yes to No the truth of these answers lie subtly- In other words, I believe that there is a truth to things.

And I believe that if we advocate the existence of truth, we would have advocated to the existence of God. For without truth would consequent in a world without right and wrong. And if the world is indeed relative as such we could not have any conviction on anything- by then we would have already fallen prey to relativist fallacy, and there would be little point in contemplating on issues in the first place. On the other hand, if we were to believe that there is truth and righteousness, we would naturally have to assume that someone has to be the ‘judge’ to set firm what is right or wrong. That judge cannot be either you or me, because everybody with at least a religion to life actually subscribes to it- so that person has to be beyond you or me. That person many had believed to be God and that person I had believed to God myself.

Introduction to (Campaign RN) Truth and the Moderation Doctrine.

Summarizing- the crux of the living best postulate, and the whole bulk of discussions that accompanied soon after- would eventually point towards the conclusion that the true way of life would be one decreed by God. Through the past 6 faculties we see how this connection can be made possible, and through the posts we discovered that this home-made argument is indeed in line with Transcendental Idealism in philosophy.

Enough backgorund information. Today I would want to bring up one more aspect of the living best postulate. I don't think I am entitled to gloat about this, so I shall quote the premises directly:

Transcendental argument for the existence of God

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jump to: navigation, search
The Transcendental Argument for the Existence of God (TAG) is the argument that attempts to prove God's existence by arguing that logic, morals, and science ultimately presuppose the Christian worldview, and that God's absolute nature is the source of logic and morals. A version was formulated by Immanuel Kant in his 1763 work The Only Possible Argument in Support of a Demonstration of the Existence of God. A version is also commonly used in presuppositional apologetics and is considered by some apologists to be the most persuasive argument[citation needed].

(this section deals with the concept of transcendentalism, but what really is shocking is the argument proper)

The TAG is a transcendental argument that attempts to prove that the Christian God is the precondition of all human knowledge and experience, by demonstrating the impossibility of the contrary; in other words, that logic, reason, or morality cannot exist without God. The argument proceeds as follows:[1]
  1. Knowledge is possible (or some other statement pertaining to logic or morality)
  2. If there is no god, knowledge is not possible
  3. Therefore God exists.
It is similar in form to Descartes' Cogito ergo sum.

The TAG argues that, because the triune God of the Bible, being completely logical, uniform, and good, exhibits a character in the created order and the creatures themselves (especially in humans), human knowledge and experience are possible.

Compare this to our own little postulate; assume Truth pertains to logic and morality (duh).

- In other words, I believe that there is a truth to things.

- And I believe that if we advocate the existence of truth, we would have advocated to the existence of God

if we were to believe that there is truth and righteousness, we would naturally have to assume that someone has to be the ‘judge’

Side note: The aspect of uniformity, or manifestation, or beauty was not found until september 14 2009

- That judge cannot be either you or me... so that person has to be beyond you or me.

Semantically- 'Beyond', or 'Transcendent'.... does it matter anymore?

Kant says its the only logical argument for the existence of God...
Tell me, what is exactly going on???

Balance

It is time to purge out the disease that is myself.

Can anyone of us fathom, let alone understand, the immense complexity of the the theory of life? Is it ever possible to contain this unbounded domain of knowledge into one single entity? If it may be done, is it even possible to re-live this life, consciously bearing in mind this infinite knowledge as every thought, feeling, and behaviour is exectured?

Not only the stereotypical knowledge of morality and theology, and neither is it confined to the petty parameters of philosophy. I mean human knowledge- one that ranges from the principles of quantum physics, to the appreciation of art and music.

No I guess- what we have learnt insofar (even at university level) is merely a mere slice of the cake. Indeed we may specialize in our domains, however as Bertrand Russell puts it across, specializing is indeed knowing more and more about less and less.

Alas the biggest folly of man to harmonize the wisdom of God with his own intellect! That one pride in man, that had led to his eventual downfall. I have to admit that there were instances where I had fallen prey to this subtle yet grave error.

The theories I had found out in campaign rn cannot be inheriently evil in nature. And the initial will to seek out the living best of life should not be incorrect, however its the subsequent desire to understand everything for the sake of gaining absolute truth, to change this world on my own will, and conform it to my own idealism, that corrupts the essence of it all.

And as usual, he who seeks by his own will will meet no other than failure and despair.

Interesting that it is almost impossible to distinguish the transition from right to wrong. It seemed almost perfectly logical, even glamorously righteous, to merely 'spread and share this joy within to others'. What a thin line between selfless sharing and selfish imposing!

Don't worry- I am not about to give up with my little campaign just yet. And neither would I give up on life. I still do love within, there is always room in my heart for people around me.

This be the true success of life and the greatest achievement of mankind- to be able to act humanely.

On a sidenote, exams are coming- all the best people. Love you all.

Imbalance

Once there was a scholar who wanted God to reveal the truth to him. God agreed, and He opened the eyes of the man to see what was really going on in the world. Soon after, the scholar pleaded with God to make him forget whatever he saw before. He was terrified by what was revealed, he would rather live on a life of ignorant bliss-
A Proverb

Before I go on I would wish to make some issues clear: I do not ramble unnecessarily unless I truly hit on a dead end in my endeavours. Also, I am sick of masking my words- so I shall be direct in my approach today.
Frankly speaking, there are instances where I wish that I had never engaged in Campaign RN. I wish I had never asked the question on why my life was incomplete. I wish I never resolved to seek out the living best of life.

I am just another ingnorant youth to go by. I was barely twenty then, and I had all the reason in the world to build up my whole life in sweet surrender to the forces of society. I could have clubbed, fucked, lamented about love for the sake of being emotional, and viewed life from my selfish point of view. Enlightenment and truth would not onset till mid adulthood, moderation meaning and manifestation might just have never existed!

But ironically, I had chosen this path. A blithering idiot to venture into something so... idealistic and intangible- and the biggest joke of the day is the fact that he actually does this thinking he is actually being more in union with this world itself.

Please laugh at this joke okay?
Tell me, what bloody good is it for me to live two irreconcilable lifestyles I cannot even pinpoint where they belong to in the first place? To smile and cover this cancerous growth within him beneath this heavy petticoat of lies? To call upon myself with a name that masks the grave realization that I can never be my 'true' self as long as I draw philosophy from this domain of truth? Answer me!

Day in and out I ponder within, watching people fall, rise, then fall again. An innate tendence to really gush out and help them, to guide them, and yet to empower the self along the way. Yet indifference was the only action I demostrated at the end of the day. After all, I am not appreciated when I am around, and I am neither missed when I leave. So why should I impose myself unnecessarily beyond my own comfort zones? To respect me? to respect them? to fear making a mockery out of them?

No- I am selfish, and I choose to live in denial: I do not want to make a mockery of myself. Period.

Ideals remain no more as ideals- personal conviction, no matter how sensible, is only subjected to my own psychotic mind. Even as I am (still) throwing strands of idealism from that self-imposing domain, a tendency to just bind it all up and commit to the flames arises. Why not? Would it be better for me to type:

I want to fuck around and live a fucked up life.

just as long as it doesnt impose on my grades? After all, its true that grades make future right? Just as long as the fuck-up ness of life doesnt extend to my academics, wouldn't that me a person infinitely much better than this miserable wretch typing these words to no avail??

The living best postulate- that one postulate of self-denial. (please pun this statement)

So tell me, who am I? My personal assessment is officially deemed invalid, since its logically impossible for a person without individulity to identify himself. Go beyond the names, Rach; go beyond the names, Jesse, just like how I have you gone beyond way beyond myself to the point of no return. Tell me many things, Jesse- from that truth that the RN domain is no more than a lie, so that i may formulate an anti-thesis to this living best postulate. Perhaps I may just escape back to reality- of the exaulted actions of narcissism, materialism and promiscuity.

Must you not? The world tells me this story anyway. Love them all.

and fuck is supposed to be love, didn't you assert?

sure =)

Fuck them all then.

While either one exists the other can never manifest.

Sidenote: No one is entitled to corrupt the RN domain, and no one may corrupt it except the person who came up with it. So don't tell me how to live my life- after all, your denials can never match up to mine.

Microsoft Paint....

Most interestingly, returns from other local blogs are always accompanied with an onslaught of p(r)etty pictures. In comparison, spacesofaderangedmind seems like its managed by some thirty year old dude trying to corrupt his philo blog (which he had done ten years ago in the university) with smilies, jargons and personal introspections. On the three..... oops i mean two.... Project RN domains studded ten thousand words, on this domain studded an additional ten thousand dots.

Nonononono- this cannot do. Must act my age.... must...... put TEN THOUSAND PICTURES!!!!!!!

Help le.

Well at least, let the 'youth ' shine.

So a little housekeeping was employed, on the top RHS comes a little modification to the 'currently on mind section' to probably proclaim 'random stuff' (randomness is actually an anti-ideal) to this world of chaos (the actual word to say). At the bottom comes a boring profile to remind myself that I am still a ignorant coming-of-age Singaporean dude who likes to-eat-and-sleep-and-go-to-town-and-play-lan-and-watch-movie-and-oogle-at-IJ-girls-and-emo-all-day-and-do-nasty-tutorials-and-mug-and-mug-and-mug-and-mug-(repeat this indefinitely for added effect)-and-of-course-put-ten-thousand-pictures-on-my-blog.

Fine.

Attached comes ONE picture. It was drawn at the void deck (courtesy by Xam again), and shaded normally afterwards. However this time some colour was induced, via microsoft paint, as a test to see how our shadings would actually look if it was shaded in colour pencil. I guess it looks kinda decent, for a rough job done at 3 in the night.... hmmmmm

Only 3 colours were used in the colouring of this picture. They are brown, blue and yellow. These colours are spray-painted unto the shaded picture directly. As this method causes the underlying pixels to be overwritten with the new colour pixels, it was impossible to use the brush or pencil function... and hence the output looks a little shoddy

oh well.....

it kinda gives comic book colouring effect to the picture, doesn't it? dun mind the signature though, it's just there to impress. LOL

A little overview

This patched graph will be placed in Project RN(T2) when it is completed. Meanwhile, the rough idea stands for now I guess.. (note: covers topics from part 5 only)

of course, introspection is always welcomed =)

T3 Confirmed

Yup- the official scope of discussion for this third and final installment is 'Manifestation'.

What exactly remains to be manifested is now open for discussion, but I guess there will be no official commitments to this discussion until December 2010. Full commitment should be emphasized from May to July on patching T2, and some discussions from the former Beauty Theory will be included (since T3 will not primarily focus on them).

T3 instead, should be more in line with the Living Best Postulate, putting a kind of concluding touch to this (really quite humongous) camapign to realize the true living best of life itself. Till the day comes when I may have the honor to finally draw the closing paragraph, hopefully there will be smiles, happiness, and a-living.
