Okay guys, is it wise to put all your eggs in a single basket? Common sense tells us its not. Now allow me give a hypothetical case scenario- with the analogy of money in a wallet instead.

A: Tadah! Three wallets.
B: Huh?
A: This way I can divide my money in three parts, and if I drop my wallet while walking, the damage is one third!
B: One third huh?
A: One third.
B: But the chance you'll drop your wallet is three times as much, isn't it?

Do check this movie out if you guys are free- some parts might sound nostalgic, and some are really out of this world. Although it might not really appeal to the senses, but its really a piece of art, and an epic by itself.

It would also be good to know that the Matrix was actually inspired by this film. As for my project RN(T), well I can only say that this is really a calculated coincidence man, haha.

1) The New Girl

There was a time when we were young,
When we wielded neither knowledge nor belief.
Knowledge, to form our beliefs;
Beliefs, to convict new knowledge.
It was at this point of time we were truly open to change-
To assimilate, to learn, and to live.

Our mothers spoke of one person then.
Though their words and actions may differ.
That one person that had existed way before them,
And yet that same person that will grow and age with us.
Mother then brought us together in time,
Yet she knew it was still incomplete-
She hope we would one day fully understand
And truly be with that person in deed.

Truth was the name of the person Mother showed us;
She was as young as you and me.
She knew little more than what we understood ourselves,
Yet nothing less than what we could be.
Mother told us to be with her now,
And to never push her away;
We never understood those words, but yet we believed,
And that was how Truth first came to stay.



2) The Estranged Girl

As we grew up, Truth grew with us.
She was filled with grace and maturity.
Truth was exactly what Mother had described,
But then we grew corrupted with envy.
Jealousy- why is she always right:
Why can she tell no lie?
We learnt a little logic from her, last I remember,
Then we lived our separate lives.

No one can be correct all the time,
Mother, what you say is subjective.
For my opinions, now different from yours-
Will put an end to your righteousness, eventually.
Thank you for letting me meet Truth before,
I’ve learnt from her the logic of ways.
This logic leads me to my final conclusion that:
Truth’s no more than another bedtime story today.

And so we disdained her for whom she is-
We claimed her to be a fraud.
We tell each other that she didn’t exist,
And hence to other women we sought.
A life without her, it was bloody fun;
That was the true way of life to live
Yet little did we know that even at this point of time
Truth herself was trailing behind closely.

Some of us liked this way of life:
The here and now, so we say.
The practicality of things and emotions evoked within-
So appealing, we don’t want to change our ways.
Yet many felt that even this was incomplete,
There ought to be a reason to explain.
For there is an explanation for everything to be-
There’s a logic for everything today.



3) The Misunderstood Girl

We grew a little more with education,
And we slowly turned back to err.
It dawned upon us that eternal facts and truth
Held a meaning far greater than what the world could offer.
Science indeed seeks out the truth in life logically,
That’s why all true scientific facts can be explained-
Truth is simple and logical, actually;
It’s the stupidity of the world to disdain.

Once again, we seek back for her;
It’s time to correct the errors we made through time.
We have grown up today and matured a little more,
We have experienced the mundanity of life.
Mother was wise in bringing her to us,
We’re sorry for what we had been-
Then we denounce our ways completely today,
And promised never to go back to sin.

Now that we have found Truth once again,
Yet there is a subtle difference in her.
Truth suddenly felt bitter and emotionless,
She was no longer that innocent girl.
There were times she seemed self conflicting-
Other times she showed disdain;
Then perhaps it’s just us to reason half the equation
And logically assume that’s truly her again.

4) The True Girl

Truth had never left us part.
She had been with us since the beginning:
When we were children- believing, within the materialistic,
Charged with emotions, or logically disdaining.
She’s actually a balance in life,
And that was what mother tried to make understand:
That only the integration of all aspects of life,
Can we live our True selves in sacrosanct.

Reflections

When Adam bit into the apple, he traded metaphysical wisdom for epistemological knowledge.

Hasn't it not? For millenia, men had always used reason over men. Wars were said to be barbaric when men fought over territory and survival, but were always justified as long as there was adequate reasons to support their proposition. Blind reason has led men to a delusion that truth is on their side just as long as they know it's ways, and from their warped and corrupted flow of logic they gained the pride to unleash their innate perverseness. Pride has prevented men from looking beyond their selfish thinking to a concept of union and ontological complimentation.

Love is the ultimate example of ontological union, men has always seeked true love to no avail.

Love was meant to unite the subjectivity of men to an objective collaborative knowledge. Yet men's inherient selfishness has divided this united truth to a matter of mere opinions, with each faction refusing to see light of the other's ideals. Criticism arises aplenty without guidance, punishment without rehabilitation, conflicts without compromise, analysis without conclusions.

Stop wasting time grovelling by your reasons. Stop clinging onto inconclusive subjectivity. Stop judging the world by your standards and justify yourself by saying that 'the world is really stupid'. Such a reason dosen't justify you, it actually makes you no different than an ignorant snob, another selfish persona, and no better than the rest of humanity you criticized.

Live by your ethics, and not by the law. Staying out of trouble alone dosent warrent you goodness and grace, but by living graciously you have definitely stayed out of trouble. Be beyond the parameters of instinctive sensory ontology your primal cousins could never circumvent, now go beyond the current standards of logic and reason to justify our primal instincts. There is so much more to go, so much farther to consider, so much greater to achieve; just as long as we can think beyond ourselves, and we certainly are more than capable of that.

Yet retain your individuality, your uniqueness, your identity- for collaboration is required for success, and collaboration requires the union of a multitude of distinct elements. Individuality was nature's way of diversity, and diversity was to ensure survival of a species. While the essence of individuality, like sex, goes to a benefit beyond ourselves and our control, savour and relish your indivuduality as much as possible- yet bear in mind its true aims while doing so.

Improve, men. You have gained so much epistemological knowledge and reason through education, its time for you to let loose your childish ways and utilize it properly for the benefit and improvement (or the evolution to the better, as nature has done before you) of yourselves. That has always been the true aims of education, have you lost sight of it to say its impossible to regain again?

Do you stop halfway down the path of wealthy success to tell yourself you can't earn any more anymore? Indeed, have you no courage or conviction beyond your advancements in knowledge and wisdom to move beyond your partial achievements to complete what you have done?

"I was a child, my speech, feelings, and thinking were all those of a child. Now that I am a man I have no more use for childish ways. What we see now is like a dim image in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. What I know now is only partial; then it will be complete-"

Let go, men so weak and poor, and let live.

Lets go then, my brothers, and let us live.

Note: it would be an advantage if the fundamental nature of this problem is understood before we attempt to solve the higher application. Therefore, we would attempt to find the distribution of pigeons for the 1,2,3,4,5 configuration before proceeding on to main bulk of the question.

• There are 15 pigeons to be divided into five coconut trees. There are a few possibilities of distribution of pigeons:

• An increasing distribution i.e. coconut tree 1=1 pigeon, coconut tree2=2 pigeons and so on…
• Since there are only 15 pigeons in total, the only possible increasing distribution is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Where 1+2+3+4+5=15

• A decreasing distribution i.e. coconut tree 1=5 pigeons, coconut tree 2= 4 pigeons and so on…
• Due to the same above mentioned reason, the only possible decreasing distribution is 5, 4, 3, 2, 1.

• A random distribution i.e. coconut tree 1=2pigeons, coconut tree 2=5 pigeons etc…
• There are many possibilities for a random distribution, they may include:
• 2, 5, 1, 3, 4
• 3, 3, 4, 2, 3
• …

• or

• An equal distribution ie coconut tree 1=3 pigeons, coconut tree 2=3 pigeons and so on, where the distribution is given 3, 3, 3, 3, 3.

Do note that the dance cycle is such that after the first round, the results would generally be as follows:

• Coconut tree 1 will gain 4 pigeons
• Coconut tree 2 will lose 1 pigeon
• Coconut tree 3 will lose 1 pigeon
• Coconut tree 1 will lose 1 pigeon
• Coconut tree 5 will lose 1 pigeon

Do note that the full cycle of pigeons and trees is tree 1 to 2, then 2 to 3, then 3 to 4, then 4 to 5, and 5 to 1. Since the cycle ends at tree 1, instead of tree 5 (which intuition may lead us to think as such), and since the dance is such that no tree is repeated twice consecutively, therefore the next step moves on to tree 2.

A good visualization may be acquired if we were to place the trees in a cyclic diagram rather than in a linear diagram.

And after the second cycle,
• Coconut tree 1 will lose one pigeon in the second dance to gain 3 pigeons in total
• Coconut tree 2 will gain 4 pigeons in the second dance to gain 3 pigeons in total
• Coconut tree 3 will lose one pigeon in the second dance to lose 2 pigeons in total
• Coconut tree 4 will lose one pigeon in the second dance to lose 2 pigeons in total
• Coconut tree 5 will lose one pigeon in the second dance to lose 3 pigeons in total

Should we follow the next cycle, we will have the following outlines:

1) lose 1 in 3rd dance to gain 2 in total,
2) lose 1 in 3rd dance to gain 2 in total,
3) gain 4 in 3rd dance to gain 2 in total,
4) lose 1 in 3rd dance to lose 3 in total,
5) lose 1 in 3rd dance to lose 4 in total,

Do note that each coconut tree has it’s turn in gaining 4 pigeons (from 1st to 2nd and to 3rd), if we were to let the dance go on for another 2 iterations, we will have the outcome:

All coconut trees will gain 4 pigeons in 1 turn and lose 4 pigeons through 4 turns (1 each)

Now, the solution is to sub in the above 4 scenarios to see how the numbers turn out

Note that it is impossible to put in 3,3,3,3,3. This is because in the process, the 5th coconut tree will run out of pigeons before any it gets its turn of gaining 4 pigeons (the -1+5 turn).

This is the same with the decreasing distribution 5,4,3,2,1.

In general, each coconut tree must have enough pigeons to sustain the -1 pigeon turn before it gets its own +4 turn.

Thus the only possible configuration is 1,2,3,4,5 where there are 1 pigeon in the 1st tree, 2 pigeons in the 2nd tree, etc

With the outcome after each step as:

1, 2, 3, 4, 5
5, 1, 2, 3, 4
4, 5, 1, 2, 3
3, 4, 5, 1, 2

The essence to deduce is that the difference between the number of pigeons per tree is= the configuration of pigeon movement between the trees



Now, regarding part 2

• Note that in the 3,7,8,10,16 configuration, there are a total of 44 birds in transition per turn.

• Technically, owing to part 1, having coconut tree 1=3 pigeons, coconut tree 2=7 pigeons, coconut tree 3= 8 pigeons etc will let us come back to the configuration of 3,7,8,10,16.

• Do note that 3+7+8+10+16 is exactly 44

• And henceforth the answer being a distribution of

• 3 pigeons in the 1st tree
• 7 pigeons in the 2nd tree
• 8 pigeons in the 3rd tree
• 10 pigeons in the 4th tree
And
• 16 pigeons in the 5th tree

Alright boys and girls, here is a math puzzle that may be a wee bit difficult to solve... but if you can do it, you may be freaking genius. So do get your pencils and papers ready!

Don't worry, there is no need for trigonometry or calculus. Its just pure addition and subtraction and the numbers do not exceed 200.

15 pigeons can be distributed into 5 coconut trees such that when a they keep 'dancing' by hopping from tree to tree, assuming that they do not repeat their dance twice per turn at any time, they will eventually return to their original distribution.

The dynamics of the 'dance' are as follows:

1 pigeon hops over from the first coconut tree to the second coconut tree

Then,

2 pigeons hop over from the second coconut tree to the third coconut tree,
3 pigeons hop over from the third coconut tree to the fourth coconut tree,
4 pigeons hop over from the fourth coconut tree to the fifth coconut tree,

and finally,

5 pigeons hop from the fifth coconut tree back to the first coconut tree.

After all the hopping is done, the number of pigeons on each coconut tree is tabulated, and a 'dance' cycle is considered complete. It is noted that for a certain configuration of distribution of pigeons, the number of pigeons on each coconut tree can eventually return back to their original number after a certain number of 'dance' cycles.

This configuration is called a 1,2,3,4,5 hopping configuration.

Now, what is the distribution of pigeons if there are 44 pigeons hopping at a 3,7,8,10,16 configuration; if we want it to be such that the pigeons will return to their original distribution after a number of 'dance' cycles?

ie:

3 pigeons hop over from the first coconut tree to the second coconut tree,
7 pigeons hop over from the second coconut tree to the third coconut tree,
8 pigeons hop over from the third coconut tree to the fourth coconut tree,

Some issues struck me recently.

Why do I have to think so complexly all the time? Why all the intellectual conversations and gritty violence and realism? Why keep looking at media for underlying philosophies? Why disdaining cute and simple stuff?

I don't have to prove anything to anybody. I don't have to put a false pretense to anybody. I am free to do anything I wish, and whatever I do reflects my character.

Yes, I like to think about such stuff, its part of me, but its not completely me. My identity goes beyond this stifling domain of the above things.

I can still encompass the simplistic and the ideal. I can take child-like stuff, i can take things that don't require me to think at all.

Its not like if I would to accept them I would be condemned to the pits for being a bimbo-minded buffoon or tasteless. I wonder who dares call me one anyway.... LOL

Anyway, that was part of the deal from the Moderated life huh?

Anyway, today's the seventh age. I am back to the day I was 7 years ago, watching cute cartoons that make me laugh. Playing sports that I had generally given up a long time ago while expanding on the epistemic domain. Back to my original aims of education once more.

And appreciating the best of both worlds.
