Hello friends, welcome to The Deranged World. This domain is primarily a personal introspection of thoughts, feelings and activities. Some of them are funny, some slightly emotional, some exceedingly intellectual, and others completely nonsensical in nature. But nevertheless, they all reflect a truthful element of myself then. In addition, you may check out the Project RN series located at 'Interchange'. Do leave a comment as an when you wish, I'll be more than glad to reply them.

Transcendentals

Below is a short excerpt I have got about Truth and Goodness, (and Beauty). Evidently, they have been contemplated through the ages by many, are is accepted by Christian Theology: these three entities explain everything, and they are called Transcendentals.

The transcendentals are ontologically one, thus they are convertible. Where there is truth, there is beauty and goodness also.

In Christian theology the transcendentals are treated in relation to Theology Proper, the doctrine of God. The transcendentals, according to Christian doctrine, can be described as the ultimate desires of man. Man ultimately strives for perfection, which takes form through the desire for perfect attainment of the transcendentals.

Each transcends the limitations of place and time, and are rooted in being. The transcendentals are not contingent upon cultural diversity, religious doctrine, or personal ideologies, but rather serve as the objective characteristics of the nature of man.

i got a few suspicions, but i dunno if they tie in as such.

Beauty is all about harmony.

Beautiful music is usually considered music in harmony. A work of art becomes beautiful when within it brings a message of harmony of asthetics and ideals. In dance, what differentiates grace from awkwardness is harmony- Not only in the moves, but also with the intented potrayal etc.

Also, the Greeks see beauty in geometry and nature. They believe that certain proportions lead rise to beauty. They also see beauty in mathematics. This infers that beauty may be idealistic as much as its aesthetic.

Beauty moderates itself between the individual and the community. Interestingly, when human faces are averaged out, the resultant image tends towards greater beauty than the individual faces.

It brings about the concept of perfection. Also, from it arises the meaning of the Arts.

So how did we leave the whole concept of beauty out of our reasoning? Actually, I don't think we did.

If truth is the mechanism of creation, and goodness is the intent of creation, then from the above clues, wouldn't beauty be the standards of creation?

What are the standards of creation? Look around, what is the quality of truth and goodness around us? If life is creation, what is the best of life?

Yes, we come back to the topic of the living best. In definition, the living best is the perfect "idealistic" best life. We compared lifestyles using truth standards and goodness standards previously, but think about it. The best life is actually a life lived in harmony.

Harmony between the opposing forces in oneself, harmony between self and neighbour, between man and nature, between nature and God.

And harmony is the essence of beauty.

Dude, we already considered beauty the moment we began our quest for moderation.

After all, think again: what is a beautiful personality?

I leave today three sentences, I don't know to what extent these thoughts are correct, and if there are alternatives/ things to add on I would gladly consider them.

1) Beauty and Goodness are Truths
2) Truth and Beauty is Good
3) Truth and Goodness is Beautiful

makes sense.........if beauty is harmony, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder(in this case, me)

Then a beautiful personality in another person is a personality that is in harmony with my own........wow.......actually my own "a lot of things". Inclusive of my own personality, my own expectations, my own experience etc.
